Our Story

July 3, 2020: It All Started With a Draw 2

Let's begin with a shout out to Samara for inviting Brogan to the game night & introducing us!

Little did we know that a game night, in the middle of COVID, for July 4th would change our lives forever. Even after playing multiple draw 2's on each other in an intense game of Uno, we both couldn't deny the chemistry. Everyone knows how competitive we are, so it was a surprise we made it out of that Uno game on speaking terms.

July 6, 2020: The First Date

Being that both of us worked on the local Navy base, Josh at the submarine maintenance facility and Brogan at an engineering Co-Op, our first date was sort of last minute. Samara gave each of us the other's phone number and we started talking after we both got off work. Last second planning led us to having dinner at Riverside Cafe, enjoying the sunset, and walking the St. Marys Waterfront.

August-November 2020: Georgia Southern Trips

Once Brogan's Co-Op ended, she moved back to Georgia Southern to complete her Senior year of college to obtain her Bachelors degree as well as kill it on the soccer field! With that, I (Josh) traveled as often as I could to Statesboro so that I could spend time with Brogan. I knew we had a good thing going when she always made time between school and her crazy soccer schedule to take me to a Hibachi restaurant every time I visited.

November 28, 2020: Officially Became a Couple!

For Thanksgiving that year, Brogan's parents hosted it in Hilton Head, South Carolina which I showed up to after seeing my family. With the Georgia Southern trips going as well as they have, we both felt we had something special. After Brogan's Mom introducing me to people as her boyfriend, I looked at Brogan and said, "Well, can we make it official now?" Obviously, the answer was yes, or this website wouldn't be up and running.

June-September 2021: The Move to Charleston

After graduating with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Brogan accepted a Design Engineer position with Boeing in Charleston in June 2021. Shortly after Brogan settled into Charleston, I accepted a Network Engineer position with Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic and moved to Charleston in September 2021. Brogan moved into a quaint 1 bedroom apartment where we lived happily for one year.

August 2022: Our First Home

After looking at many places, locations, floor plans, lots, etc. we both decided that Summerville, South Carolina was the place to be. We purchased a beautiful new construction home that we are still extremely happy in! We have great neighbors, friends, and a great community/neighborhood.

April 26, 2024: She Said Yes!

We always knew but, it was time to make it official. With the help of our parents, I set up a sunset picnic in White Point Garden (Downtown Charleston) with a violinist to play "Take My Name" by Parmalee as we walked up. Off in the distance hiding, our parents were watching the biggest day of our lives unfold. With the violinist playing and a photographer capturing the moment, I asked the question with tears filling up both of our eyes. With the resounding answer of "Yes!" we both embraced while our parents came running out of hiding in celebration!

November 8. 2025: The Wedding

We become Brogan and Josh LeClair! We couldn't be more excited to celebrate!
